Webus Partners with Air China, Plans XRP Payment Integration for 60 Million Members

Webus International Limited signed a strategic partnership with Air China to provide chauffeur services to over 60 million PhoenixMiles members with future XRP payment support.

Nasdaq-listed Webus International Limited (WETO) announced September 3 a strategic partnership agreement with Air China Limited, China's flag carrier airline . The deal allows Webus's travel service brand Wetour to provide airport transfers and premium chauffeur services to Air China's global passenger base of over 60 million PhoenixMiles loyalty program members .

Webus, a provider of AI-driven mobility solutions specializing in premium chauffeur services worldwide, operates through its Wetour brand . The company plans to integrate XRP payment support for Air China members, enabling faster settlement, tokenized rewards, and blockchain-enabled vouchers tied to membership benefits, subject to regulatory compliance .

"This collaboration with Air China, with the potential to reach more than 60 million members and passengers, not only expands Wetour's global service footprint but also accelerates our vision of building a Ripple-integrated travel ecosystem," said CEO Nan Zheng .

The partnership follows Webus's recent announcement of a delegated digital asset management agreement with SEC-registered investment adviser Samara Alpha Management LLC, establishing a framework for up to $300 million in potential XRP treasury operations . The company previously announced plans for a $300 million financing strategy to build XRP strategic reserves supporting global payment solutions .

Webus secured a $100 million equity line earlier this year as part of its broader XRP treasury strategy, reflecting growing corporate adoption of crypto assets for treasury management . The Air China partnership marks a significant expansion into Asia's aviation market, connecting traditional airline loyalty programs with Web3 payment infrastructure.

No prominent public comments from Air China executives or crypto industry figures were available at press time regarding the partnership's broader implications for airline-crypto integration.
