Trump-backed World Liberty Financial (WLFI) Acquires $3 Million Worth of MNT

WLFI's Portfolio Reaches $343 Million Across 11 Tokens.

March 24, 2025 - According to crypto data analytics platform Arkm monitoring, Trump family-backed DeFi project WLFI has increased its investment in Mantle (MNT) at 00:44 UTC , spending $3 million to purchase approximately 3.539 million MNT tokens at a price of $0.84 per token.

Mantle (MNT) is an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution developed by BitDAO. It aims to provide a more efficient and cost-effective blockchain infrastructure through its modular architecture, combining the security of Ethereum with improved transaction speeds and reduced gas fees. The project has received substantial backing from cryptocurrency exchange Bybit, which has helped fuel its development and adoption in the blockchain ecosystem.

According to crypto data analyst @EmberCN's statistics, WLFI's investment portfolio has reportedly accumulated a total investment of $343 million, allocated across 11 different tokens including ETH, WBTC, TRX, LINK, AAVE, ENA, MOVE, ONDO, SEI, AVAX, and MNT. However, the portfolio is currently experiencing an unrealized loss of approximately $109 million, representing a one-third decrease in value.

Yujin points out that many tokens in WLFI's portfolio have a "mutual support" relationship with WLFI, where project teams subscribe to WLFI tokens while WLFI invests in these projects' tokens, creating a reciprocal support structure.
