Pyth Network Partners with Kalshi to Bring Regulated Prediction Market Data to Blockchain

Pyth Network integrated with CFTC-regulated prediction market Kalshi to stream real-time event data across 100+ blockchains for the first time.

Pyth Network, a leading decentralized oracle protocol on Solana, partnered with Kalshi to deliver regulated prediction market data across more than 100 blockchains. The integration marks the first time federally regulated event data will be streamed onchain at scale, enabling developers to build applications powered by real-time probabilities of future outcomes.

Kalshi operates as a CFTC-regulated Designated Contract Market, making it the first federally regulated exchange in the United States dedicated to event contracts. The platform allows users to trade on outcomes ranging from political elections to sports championships and economic policy decisions. Prediction markets gained significant attention during the 2024 U.S. presidential election, with platforms demonstrating their ability to crowdsource knowledge and provide transparent probability measures.

Pyth Network specializes in delivering fast, low-latency price updates to blockchain networks, connecting smart contracts with real-world financial data. The protocol serves as a data distribution network that pushes live market data onto blockchains, traditionally focusing on asset prices from traditional finance.

The initial integration delivers diverse regulated event markets to the decentralized economy, including New York City Mayor Election outcomes, Formula 1 Drivers Champion predictions, MLB Championship odds, and forecasts for the number of Federal Reserve rate cuts in 2025. These feeds represent the first wave of probability-driven data available onchain, extending beyond traditional financial assets to create new data primitives for blockchain developers.

The partnership addresses a gap in onchain infrastructure by providing trusted, composable event data sources. Previously, blockchain builders lacked access to regulated prediction market information, limiting their ability to create event-driven financial products. Kalshi's regulatory foundation ensures transparent operations, auditable processes, and institutional credibility that distinguishes it from unregulated prediction platforms.
