Stable Unveils Three-Phase Roadmap to Build the First Institutional-Grade Stablechain for USDT

By JuneJul 02, 2025

A Purpose-Built Blockchain for USDT with Gas-Free Transfers and Institutional-Grade Performance.

On July 1, backed by Bitfinex and USDT0, Stable, the first Stablechain powered by USDT, introduced its roadmap on X.

Stable is a purpose-built Layer 1 blockchain specifically designed for stablecoin payments, with USDT as its native gas and settlement token. Unlike traditional blockchains that support a wide range of assets and require separate tokens for gas fees, Stable is fully optimized for USDT. It allows users to pay transaction fees directly in USDT and offers gas-free peer-to-peer USDT0 transfers.

Earlier on June 5, Stable emerged from stealth, launching its purpose-built Layer 1 blockchain designed for institutional-scale stablecoin payments. Focused exclusively on institutions, Stable supports global remittances, stablecoin-native neobanks, treasury management, on-chain FX, credit, and cross-border B2B payments.

Stable Unveils Three-Phase Roadmap to Power the Future of Stablecoin Payments

Stable has announced an ambitious three-phase roadmap designed to transform stablecoin payments, starting with the foundational layer for USDT and culminating in a fully optimized blockchain ecosystem.

Phase 1: Building the Foundation

Stable launches with StableBFT, a fast and reliable consensus based on CometBFT. The network uses gasUSDT as its native gas token, with gas-free peer-to-peer USDT0 transfers. The Stable Wallet offers a user-friendly, Web2.5 experience with social login, while Stable Name simplifies wallet addresses into easy, human-readable aliases.

Phase 2: Enhancing Performance

Stable introduces optimistic parallel execution to process most transactions simultaneously, boosting throughput. Database performance is improved with memory-based state commitment to reduce storage delays. The phase also brings a USDT transfer aggregator for batch processing and guarantees dedicated blockspace for enterprise users to ensure stable performance during congestion.

Phase 3: Full Stack Optimized Layer for USDT

Stable upgrades to Autobahn, a DAG-based consensus with parallel proposal processing, targeting over 200,000 TPS. It rolls out StableVM++, a high-speed C++ smart contract engine offering up to 6x faster execution. The network will also deploy high-performance RPC infrastructure for real-time responsiveness, low-latency indexing, and scalable WebSocket support.
